you will need a torx bit to remove the mustache part (upper) of the grills and the bottom, you literally just pull them out, seems difficult but they will come.

It's pretty easy, I've done it.
There's a DIY on it in the DIY section. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3830 |

I just did mine today (06 325i). For the hood I used the T25 Torx which was a more snug fit and stopped any potential slipping on a tight screw.
I purchased the replacement package off of eBay and I used those to gauge where the tabs were and reached through the slots and pushed the tabs in so I could pull them out a little, I moved from inside to outside, there are three across the top then did the one on the upper outside then just pulled and they came right off. |

another option is to remove the 4 torx screws on the top of the bumper cover, just under the hood and in front of the radiator. this will allow you to gently pull the bumper cover forwards and reach down behind the grill with your hand and pop the tabs.

4 torx screws on top...use a flat tip to unclip the top two clips..after that you should be able to slide ur hand inside and unclip the rest with your hands

Can I do this on a leased car without voiding any sort of warranty? I am on the opposite end though, I want to get the Chrome grills but would not trade as I would have to put them back on.
Oh well, still waiting to get the car, just a thought. But would be good to know. Thanks |
