B Pillar Delete

Hey
As the title says I really want to get rid of my B pillar. I was thinking of this cuz i saw it on the new e-coupe and i loved it. Could you even do this on your car or not?
Thanx

i'm not so sure it'd be a smart move as the b-pillar probably provides lots of support to the frame.

If you remove the B pillar and don't add any reinforcement...in a roll you're f'ed.

One of the things that was always cool about 70's muscle cars, lots of them had no B pillars and I love it in my convertible, put down all 4 windows, no B pillars, looks cool and has great airflow when the top isn't down - wish they would bring it back on coupes!

I agree. It would be so cool if the rear windows went down in our coupes! Somebody make a kit!

Yeah, definitly not the the best idea as a mod to a car unless you plan to really throw down a big chunk of change and a lot of man hours to have your roof properly reinforced. It's a major engineering effort because the B-pillar is a primary support. And yes, if you ever roll, as lyndon mentioned, you would be completely f'ed. Your roof would cave like a coke can. Not to mention, you'd also have to re-engineer the doors and windows.

But all the warnings aside, if you actually follow through with this, I'd have some serious respect for you and it would look f'in baller! I totally agree. That old muscle car look with the gaping window openings is rad!
