Second best mobile detailer in GTA?
Hi everyone - I've got an older BMW that needs to be 'fluffed' before I sell it, so I want to get the paint buffed and waxed. I don't need a perfect job, but mobile and affordable is what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Last edited by bigjilm; 05-08-2010 at 08:49 PM.. |

Why don't you need a perfect job? You should especially if you're selling it. I agree with the post above. Kevin at www.**************** is the tits.

Re the DIY - I'm spending the time to learn to do the minor stuff on my new 335, and I've gotten every step down except for polishing. i don't have the random orbital or any of the compounds, so I figured I'd get a pro to do it. I suspect there might be several stages of polishing to get this thing presentable, and I don't have the time or the inclination to deal with it myself.
Re Kevin - I hear he's the best, and I'll probably get him to work on my new car at some point. However, he doesn't appear to be responding to email (mine, at least) at the moment, and he's probably overkill anyways. I don't think this car deserves the full Kevin deal anyway. It's 10 years old, and will never look amazing again. It could look 'really good', though, and I suspect there's someone out there capable of doing it. Someone in between Kevin and the local amateur. |

Kevin can go magic with his polisher.
Not sure what happens to him these days. Haven't heard from him much and the calendar on his web site hasn't been updated since last August.

I'm here guys, just busy with work and some unforseen family stuff these past few months. It's been sort of a wacky year electronically too (computer died, cell phone died), but in any event, I am still alive, thank you for the concern.
For the OP: odds are good your e-mail was either lost in my hdd crash or somewhere deep in my spam filter, I apologize. RE; the car, just how bad is it? Obviously you probably don't want to go the whole shoot n match on it but do you think a single polishing step would clean it up enough to make it look better than other 10 year old cars? |

It's hard to say. From ten feet away, the car looks pretty good, but from close up it's not great.
I'll PM you right now and let's see if we can work something out - thanks for the response! |
