Blue tooth add on (after market)

Hi all..... I have searched and could not find a very specific answer that I am looking for... If it has been answered before please refer me to the appropriate thread.....

question is:

-Can I add OEM BMW bluetooth to my car?

I was under the impression that I can but the dealer is telling me that I have to have a premium package to do that?..... I am talking about the Handsfree Blue-tooth kit that is listed on BMW Accesories catalog.....

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before....

PS: I have read this thread and all the others link to it..... No one is talking about the Kit that is on the accesories catalog.

IIRC, Bluetooth w/ BMW Assist is an option when ordering ($750??)so I assume it is some kind of module that needs to be installed and then coded by the dealer.

It does not require iDrive nor Premium.

I'd talk to some other dealers.

You can purchase from Motorolla a Bluetooth protable that clips onto your visor an HF350 or the newer T305 under $ 80.00. I have the HF350 it works amazing, voice dialing too.
