How much $ to fix this?

Wife did a doozy this morning on her SUV. Trying not to get THAT upset because it's Mother's Day, but.... still a little annoyed. Thoughts on how much this is going to cost me to fix?

I feel your pain, my wife just recently closed the garage door on a brand new Camry. Got some really bad scratches $600 bucks to fix!

If they can pull the dent and repaint depending on where you go I'd say 800 to 1200

Ultimately, I think it is highly dependent on where you are getting the work done. I was disappointed with the work they do at the DVN/Markville Lexus/Toyota body shop

She is going to Graff Autobody tomorrow for a quote. My family has gone there for years. We shall see.

my friend went to carstar recently and got his coupe fixed for $550 all in. he grated it against a cement pillar so the damage is pretty similar (except yours has the dent)

I haven't seen the results yet but he's pretty happy with it.

What ever you got her for Mother's day take it back. You can use the money for the repair. OP at least this is all that happened, could have been worse.

Good luck with repair. I am interested in who was closest with the estimate. I always get 3 estimates so you know if you are getting ripped off. Just because you trust someone does not mean they are not ripping you off. Don't just get 1 estimate.

This is not as bad as it looks, should be much less than $500.

Look for paintless dent removal, they will be able to get the body panel straight. You will then need to have the car buffed and you are good to go.

http://www.dentnetwork.com/pdr_your_area_Canada.htm

If you can get away without repainting......

Beware, many will pretend they can do paintless dent repair!

It is little known that many body shops call in those experts, pay them less that half the price they eventually charge you.

There is no way that is 'buffing out'. The area around the fender edge is clearly into the primer, and some of it looks to be into the metal. Not only that, but in terms of the dent itself the body line has been obliterated, I know some good PDR guys but I think even they would have issues with that - not so much pulling it as reforming the body line.

IMO, you're in for probably 6-8 hours of body work then paint, which will mean they will also need to blend the front door and rear fender. Also looks like the molding and door handle need paint too. Shop rates vary, but I'd bet 427 auto/European would be in the $1500 range.

carstar is usually pretty good cause they guarantee their work...including paint chipping etc.
