e93 320d remapped at p-torque today
First post guys to give you my thoughts on my remapped 320d which is on a 59 plate (as it was built in dec 09, there only 2 or 3 companies that have got the equipment to do the ecu remap, and there are no devices yet that will enable you to do it yourself such as bluefin).
The companies that I had considered were p-torque, evolve and superchips, but I decided on p-torque after the excellent reviews, price (£395) and Will's expertise on bmw remapping of the post March 09 models. My vehicle is the 177bhp e93d m sport model (black with coral red). I drove up to p-torque from Cardiff earlier today with the anticipation of getting atleast 210-217bhp which is the average increase after reading many posts on here. I have only owned the car since the end of Jan 10 and have covered just over 3000 miles, but what a brilliant car it is. The standard speed is very good and the handling is amazing, but I felt the lag was holding the car back too much and felt a remap was the way forward ![]() It was only yesterday that I was reading all the posts about members who have had their cars done and here I am writing my own review of my remapped car. All I can say is.....WOW, AMAZING, BRILLIANT....its like I have a new car and I want to keep driving it. The power levels have increased through all the gears (esp 3rd/4th) and the torque is incredible, considering it's a 2ltr diesel. The lag has gone and the car responds as soon as you put your foot down all the way up to 4500/5000 revs. On the drive up I was driving a steady speed of around 70mph with the mpg around 52, but if I did around 100 it would drop to around 47 mpg, however, on the way home after the remap, 70mph would see a return of 56.5 and when I was doing 120mph (hypothetically ![]() Overall, I am 100% pleased with my decision and would like to thank Will at p-torque who was brilliant. Anyone who is thinking of getting their car done, I highly reccomend it and p-torque. Performance figures: Before: bhp = 170 torque = 263.8 lb/ft After: bhp = 222.8 torque = 323.2 lb/ft Increase in bhp for me (170bhp) is 52.8bhp which is amazing, but if I took the increase from the 177bhp figure, then the increase is 45.8bhp which is still brilliant. Torque increase is 59.4, again, brilliant. |

emm.. why do you only have one post though? And is a new member? Not trying to be discriminatory or something, but this seems abit fishy? No offense, but are you spamming for this company?
Just because there have not been that many gains for NA engines. You're basically making exhaust/intake or even BMS PBX worthless. Had this tune be real, why was PBX booming in the market? Its just something to think about, and correct me if I am wrong. =) |

Not sure what this is about, but I'll correct you. This was a genuine customer, and turbo diesels are not NA, because they have turbos ![]() We tune approx 20 BMW's a week, so don't really need to have fake testimonials... a quick search will highlight this |
