BMS Powerbox with Alarm
When starting the install, the instructions indicate that you open your hood and close/lock the doors and trunk. Since I have the OEM alarm, it will be "on" when the doors are locked. Is it okay to continue the install with the alarm on? I don't want to disconnect the battery if possible. I tried to use the key insert to lock the doors instead of the key fob, but the clown nose still came on.

disconnect your battery to avoid blowing up your ECU.. that's worth the effort no ?

I have the OEM alarm. When I did my install on the PBX, I just disconnected the hood sensor for the alarm and locked the car. Then I removed all the covers in about 10 minutes and proceeded to disconnect the ECU and install the PBX. Everything worked fine once I connected it again.
