You must have a lot of time on your hands to go get tires at costco and then find a service guy elsewhere and expect him to install. Whats your time worth? Why would a service guy want to install tires he didnt even sell?

I never said I would definitely buy tires there and go elsewhere, it's just a possiblity. In any case I'm sure there are many shops that will gladly take my money to install tires they didn't sell me in the first place (whether I got them online from tirerack or at a local retailer like Costco).

With all this costco vs BMW talk, whats a good optiont then for summer tires?

Some say the Michelin PS2s...but those are pricy...there was an article in caranddriver posted a while back:

Gerry at Pfaff says they are the best and last the longest when compared to Bridgestone and Yok. Only $200 more for the set.
