Talking Akrapovic Race exhaust system + 2010 GT3 = dynos, vids and pics

SAE DynoJet results (Same day before and after)

STD DynoJet results (Same day before and after)

The baseline results are from the car 100% stock, deckled closed, and 93 gas. The "after" dyno, everything is stock, except the Akrapovic race (100cel cats) system. ECU is currently STOCK, and will be done in a couple of weeks, together with intake filter. I'll post some picture and videos tomorrow. The sound really does have the ingredients of perfection. The results, show 18+ hp @ 5800 rpm and 4300 rpm. Torque 20+ lbs @ 4300 rpm and 5900 rpm. 12 hp gain @ 8400 rpm. Consistent gains from 3.8K rpm all the way to the 8500 redline. 62 lbs weight loss. Not bad at all for exhaust only and same day dynos, unlike others....

More to come......

Any thoughts on why the stock exhaust provides so much more torque down low? It looks like there's about a 40 ft-lbs difference in torque at around 2500 rpm.

Lack of backpressure due to high flow cats. Same on the M3 with the Akra setup. When do you ever drive the car at 2k rpm anyways?

Correct. The stock GT3 cats are 400 cel. These akrapovic ones, are 100 cel.
The important thing is that, with this exhaust system alone, it shows consistant gains from 3.8k rpm, all the way to the redline, and peak hp/tq gains at 4.3k and 5.8k. Some nice gains are the redline as well. ECU/air filter will be done in a couple of weeks. Before and after dyno will be done that day as well, on the same dyno. It has such as perfect sound......

Looks good. I wonder what'll be like after a tune. GT3 ranger got some high numbers from his FVD system.

They never did an exhaust alone dyno. Never did a SAME DAY before and after dyno either. He did a baseline in hoe october weather, then installed the exhaust and software, ran the car throughout the 4 months of winter (40 degree average) which allowed the ECU to run in such conditions, and right then did an after dyno. I don't see that as legite at all. They need to do dame day before and after dynos. All their dynos were STD, not SAE.
