i have the receipt from the jewelry store it was purchased from. no box or papers.

it can be authenticated before shipment at the buyers expense. all authorized rolex shops offer to do this.

You could get a seadweller for that, a cheap one but i have seen it. You would be able to get a early 80's just date for 1K

The problem with modified watches is that they are worth whatever one wants to pay. The OP obviously felt that it was worth $6k to him and a subsequent buyer might want the gaudy diamond and MOP conversion - even if you couldn't pay me to take that watch.

In general, a bezel/dial swap negatively impacts the value of a watch.
