Hmm...I dont see myself using IPhone anytime soon. Heavy, no 3G...At least not until the iPhone can do what windows Mobile can...at least for the corporate world

Since the phone isn't out yet who could know (or maybe who that knows would tell)? The phone has BT so theoretically it should work fine. Then again the Treo has quirks. As for total integration, again I suppose its possible if you have the iPod integration kit, but we probably won't have more details for at least a few months.

yeah i agree, i just find it interesting that BMW will be one of the first to intergrate their idrive to work well with iphone... The whole gui interface instead of a basic call feature... According to the web site you will be able to check your weather, mail, etc... I didn't read the article but the idrive shows all the options of the iphone. I'll read it later (at work)

Do you have a link to where you read this? BMW or Apple site?

I love technology for technology's sake as much as anyone, but the thought of people checking email while driving...

Well this is already available, people can look at their blackberry or if they are really techy install a carputer to check the internet. But I do get what you mean. Maybe they could have a read out? Where the computer will read the emails to you instead of you having to read it. Or maybe they will block internet activity and only allow calling and music while driving.
