im on the original injectors and software 34.x i believe. mine started after i messed up the wires(routed wrong and wires touched the turbo when hot) to bank2 sensor1 o2. haha. did any of you guys do datalogs of the issue? i get lean spikes when it happens.

Car is at the dealer at the moment. I had a tech in the car with me so he can feel the vibration/shutter. I drove it hard for like 2 mins and put it in park. He was able to feel the hiccups and said that it was not normal. Just waiting for a reply back as they had to keep it overnight. Still no codes btw.

I honestly think that the unusually rough idle is due to irregular fuel pressure. These issues were always worse when I was "close" to HPFP failure, which is always around the corner in these cars. I've had two pumps in 16,000 mi and the idling was very irregular for a couple thousand miles before the last one died until I started throwing fuel pressure codes where rough startups began. The roughness got progressively worse toward pump failure, but was eliminated after the new pump was installed.....for a while.

The roughness is now back again after 14,000 mi and what do you know? Long cranks just started and .......fuel pressure at injection release codes.

My 2 cents, but who knows. Injectors, coils, VANOS, etc., etc.

I still have the 881 pump, and I also have the new software update. Is this what may cause it, I will be taking my car into the dealer soon. Scanned it, but I see no codes, I hope they would be able to do something

Dealer stated they want to replace HPFP but waiting on BMW approval. I just noticed that everytime it backfires my vacuum will fluctuate dunno why it does that. Spark issue?

I am having these same issues but mine seem to be more dramatic than what you guys are seeing... codes from scan are below. I have had all the latest DME updates this month, plus the dealer replaced all injectors and sparkplugs.... nothing seems to be working. The dealer has said they will not trouble shoot anymore unless I remove my downpipes and intercooler which I am doing so I can bring it back in. I am not running any tune or any other mod except the FMIC and DPs.

Glad it was nothing major as I went WOT one nite and it peaked over 22PSI!! thought i blew/burnt a cyclinder or something.
