Perfect Drop/Suspension for 19" Wheels?

Usually I would just order a set of KWv2 or 3 and call it a day. But I just picked up a 2010 328XI as a DD and want to run 19" wheels - 275 tire with a drop.

Don't want to dump all that money into coilovers. What spring setup will give me the best drop for daily driving to get rid of that gap..but have a good ride.

Thanks..

Pics would help too..

Hey is your X5 M black? I saw a black X5 M ripping it on the Hutchinson parkway on Friday around 1PM. I tried to keep up but the driver kept weaving in and out of traffic and I got caught behind a group of slow drivers. lol

i have h&r race springs, i think its the best non coilover drop, especially since some coilovers which i wont name dont even go as low as these springs lol

I would suggest H&R Sports or Eibach springs. ^ Race springs are too much of a drop esp. because you're looking for that 'perfect' drop. Just reading longstar22's sig, I don't think 'SLAMMED' is what you're going for. As I always say, to each their own.

Just my 2 cents.

H&R Sport or Eibach springs should be good enough

Maybe try the sub $800 coilovers on ebay. Think Megan Racing and such even comes with camber plates for that price. Think a seller had FK Silverlines for $775, no camber plates. Or for $1k BC racing with camber plates. I went over googling for info on all the less expensive coilovers that will go on an e90 and while most of it was from car forums for Japanese cars and VW's, most people liked the coilovers fine. Sure it'd give you a better ride then stock shocks and lowering springs as well as allow you to get the exact drop you want.

You get what you pay for when it comes to suspension components. If you are fine with harsh ride, noises, and hard to work with components then definitely get the cheaper coilovers. Been there...done that and I'd rather chew off my leg than attempt it again.

IMO my kw v2s give me the perfect drop on my 19s with 265 tires.

The springs that are mentioned dont work out well with xi setups.

Just do KW V1's for the xi and call it a day.

+1

Or get the Bilstein B8 http://www.bilstein.nl/bilstein/b8_sprint with Eibach lowering springs.

I wouldn't go spring only for daily driver...

I tried to go the more wallet friendly route, when looking for a drop with my 19" wheels. I went with the H&R sports for xi and boy did I regret it. Every time I used to hit a brigde gap on the highway, my car used to go airborn and bounce for another 10-15 meters until the oem shocks were able to catch up with the stiffer springs. I'm now a happy owner of Kw V1 and my only regret is not getting these a year earlier.

iight, figuring I had already dumped a bunch of cashola in my other rides...KWv1 it is...Then I will get some BBS 19" CHR's and call it a day.

Do you recommend using a 265 or 275 in rear? The 328 is xi.
