Sunblinds

I noticed some sunblinds on a 5 series (http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=392406). Just wondering if i could get these for a 3 series? If yes who from, price range and if i could fit it myself?

Thank you

Sun blinds are available from BMW.

What 3er do you have?

E90 and E92 can have a factory fitted rear window electric blind. This is also available as a dealer fit option too, but expensive and you'll need the dash switch and programming probably.

For the rear side windows you can buy neat fold up black blinds that you clip into the rear sides. The rear window has a manual roller blind option too.

I had the fold up ones in the rear doors of my 330i saloon. They look great and just stay in all summer.

Phone you dealer with the part numbers above for a price.

Do you know if they hard to install for the rear window (manual blind)? I would like one.

I don't know as I had the factory electric blind on my car.

Maybe a search on the forum, or ask your dealer to get the instructions via the part number for you?

I looked in to this a while ago and from what I remember the fitting looked like a real ball ache - removing rear seats etc etc. Try searching DIY BLIND ? Think I'm going to get tints instead !!!

The rear blind does look a pain but the side windows ones just click into place in 2 seconds and look great.

On new car why people skimp on the OE £200 option for the leccy rear blind - of all options I would say it is one of the best value for money.

When I picked up my new 330i in March 06 the salesman asked if he could show the blind to his colleagues - blind up - blind down - blind up - blind down.

Great
