If you can't see your instruments, then you're about 1/2 an hour too late with your headlights!!

You'd think with all of the sophisticated options on a car there would be at least one able to determine the time of day and the time of sunrise or sunset and turn the lights on at the proper time. My ten year old Garmin GPS can tell me the time when the sun is going to rise and set.

Due to the sensitivity of the Auto you find lights switch on very early in the evening and are quite often on in sunlight. This is my third BMW with Auto and they have all been the same, even so I still leave my switch in Auto at all times.
