Does anyone know what products are best for minor corrective work on BMW paint with a Kestrel DA6 Pro. Menzera products keep coming up when researching for BMW paint.I am told BMW paint is hard and Menzerna is the best product to use.
Any Thoughts Thanks. Will ![]() |

Four levels of Menzerna:
Intensive polish - 85 RD 3.02 - has a reasonable level of cutting which you would use for RDS, swirling, and general scratches. With BMW paint you can sometimes get away with just that polish and not bother with a finishing polish because there is no marring or hologramming caused by the cutting compound. But it all depends upon the severity of the defects and paint. Sometimes you might need a stronger cutting compound (not too often though) and Menzerna Power Gloss - S 34 A - would be the one to use - albeit with a slightly different application method. The Final Finish is Menzerna 106 FA which, by itself, will get rid of swirling and mild scratches on BMW paint without having to use a stronger cutting compound. See the Polish DIY guides on Detailingworld.com for more detailed information. |

Thanks for the input guys. I'll have a closer look at what product grade arrived yesterday with my CYC kit, you know with all the excitement I didn't look to closely. My car is only a couple of weeks old but scratches are starting to appear already and I want to get on top of it early.

Another vote for Menzerna.
Think about getting yourself the sample kit from clean your car or similar. They will always come in handy if you keep them in your arsenal, but after the initial job you will probably only need the finer cut ones to keep it immaculate. There is no real need to be.polishing all the time so no real need for the larger 1l bottles. Having said that, I have the larger bottles of the Final Finish.
