Ah, but see I do understand the point of his sentence. My point is that the sentence was poorly written and a review of a car is no place to use a hyperbole (creative writing or jargon used by people that cant properly and succinctly put their thoughts on paper without using ill formed colloquialisms.) focus on the facts and let the numbers speak for themselves. .

Here is guide for writting an essay, the use of a hyperbole is considered to be poor writting. I would expect better from a professional writer.

First dyno test of a stock 5.0 motor:

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...une/index.html

368rwhp/352tq on a Mustang dyno. Impressive motor.

The quoted 412 hp is way underrated if those numbers aren't adjusted in any way.

Good numbers but I'll be more interested in seeing impartial dyno #'s.

More like 412 to the ground on a dynojet. The real question is what kind of stuff the motor in made with. Forged rods/pistons? The Termi had forged rods but the pistons had to be changed out for big power if I recall correctly.

It will be big if the ford boys can just slap a huge blower on there without changing out the engine internals.

The termi motor was fully forged. Single turbo setups made close to 1k on the stock internals

I remember on the big #'s the motor was .20 over and replaced pistons not the stock ones but that is still not bad.

You're prob right. Iirc, the stock stuff was Manley made, and maybe they were in the 8xx range stock with the bored over motors making the high hp #'s

I threw out all the KOTS issues I had, but the termi motors always had the highest hp #'s

I like the horsepower and price but not the fact they will be all over the streets. I like cars fon many reasons and being uncommon is one of them. The new mustang is everywhere.

5.0's are just now released.

I guess you mean the new design. 3 series are like taxis here there are so many.

according to this article: http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ine/index.html

(which seems pretty damn accurate.. and is a great read)

the connecting rods are the weak point of this engine. not only that, with the compression ratio at 11.0:1, i doubt people will just be slapping a blower on this car and calling it a day. the engine is pretty high strung from the factory as is. i'm sure some simple bolt ons will give decent gains, but i doubt anything more than that will be done reliably on stock internals. JMO.

time will tell. i'm not going to be the guinea pig who blows my money on this car and finds out for myself.

Not really. I like uncommon cars as well, and why I (and most other people) build customs. I'm just not an "off the rack" kind of guy and don't like seeing myslef duplicated all over. My daily driver is customized and slightly unique (though almost too common for my tastes) and the project car I'm building is mostly a one-off and will not have any duplicates anywhere.
