modding BMW 335I
Hey guys, so this is my first post. And i just received my first car last week, it is a 2007 BMW 335i 4dr. I haven't anything to it yet but i have some questions and seek some good advice.
What my idea is, is to black out the whole car Black rims Tinted windows Then i'd like to add a better audio system, something that will make the ground shake lol I know the basics about cars but not everything, thats why im asking you guys to post products (rims, cost of tint,or audio systems) what do you think will make this car AMAZING. I have $1700 saved up, i dont know if this is more than enough or less but if im under budget i might consider a new muffler or some nice brakes. thanks guys please help me plan out my car project |

My car was just like yours 6 months ago. Got blackline taillights, Iforged Daytona's with 265/35/19 rears with 10mm spacers 235/30/19 fronts, aluminum pedals, ambergones, matte black front grill and eyelids, painted lower mesh black and removed center finishing rod, angel eyes/fog lights in hyperwhite. Next on my list is to vinyl wrap with 3m Dinoc matte black hood/roof/trunk.

Do it!! I love the blacked out look! I'm doing the same thing. Just be prepared cuz it costs a pretty penny. $1700 is a good start, but you'll need plenty more. I've been pinching pennies wherever I can by trading parts, selling old parts when I get new ones, bargaining with dealers/distributors, and doing stuff in house at my dad's restoration shop rather than paying for mechanics to do it. I've saved several thousand dollars, but it still puts a serious strain on your wallet.
Here's a somewhat recent photo. Doesn't show everything, but gives you an idea. I have several other mods in progress, so it will look pretty different when I'm done. Below is a list of what I've done and how much it cost (to the best of my memory ) in the order in which I installed 'em.
Grand Total: ~$10,315 Holy shat... I felt better about it when I didn't know how much I spent. Kinda scary, but I certainly don't regret it Last edited by NoSole; 05-12-2010 at 03:14 PM.. |

Agreed. If youre on a budget, get wheels and tires first. It's the easiest way to make a car look custom. Then you can get some lowering springs for reasonably cheap as opposed to a totally new coil over setup. M-Tech body kit from BMW is probly the cheapest, best fitting, best looking for the money. |
