Just an update you guys...
The tires are awesome!
There's no rubbing at all and I just had 3 adults plus a child in my car on Sunday for an 80 mile trip.
Thanks a bunch to the guys at EAS for getting me such a good deal on these Falkens.
I really wanted to go with the Hankook V12s again but they didn't make the 265/40R17s. So far the Falkens have been pretty good.

Hes running 8.5" square. Theres plenty of space for wider tires. You just need to go further out when using a wider rim tho.

True except that he says that he needed an et25 wheel to fit up front. A 9" wheel of et35 has the same clearance on the strut side as the 8.5" wheel with an et40. Maybe he meant to say et35 instead of et25.

I thought that one of the reasons this setup worked in the front was due to me having the M3 tension arms and wishbone rods but I just learned that those do NOT affect the distance from the inner wheel to the strut.
So, this setup will work on a stock front end.

I think the do affect the negative camber giving you about .7 degrees more which is probably the reason why ur not rubbing.

It does affect negative camber but does not change the distance between the strut and the inside of the wheel.

I wonder what your next idea will be...

Will this setup lower your lap times?

The rim is not the issue, the tire is. The tire is wider then the wheel so having an 8.5 or 9 doesnot matter (it does as a 8.5" will tuck the tire in a bit)
I do not know what suspension you have. I have the KW clubsport and it has a ring on which the spring is fixed. This ring is quite thick and because of this I need a lower ET to clear it.

So 265 on a 8.5inch rim, how much of a difference in width does it have in the rear compared to a 255 on a 8.5 inch rim?
Im thinking of doing the same to throw a 265 on my 8.5 inch rim to get that more agressive looking wide tire look but not sure if it worth it or if it will give me that look.
