Can you have them check things under warranty? My dealership wants that something is wrong in order to make an appt. A coworker called with the same idea, getting it checked out before warranty was up and they said no appt. if nothing is wrong. So he called back and said the sunroof doesn't work and made an appt.

They wont replace anything unless you have an issue.

You will need to pay something like 150$ for a full inspection so they will actually look for problems... but if they find anything wrong with it, it will pay for itself.

If you are not mechanically inclined I would take it to an independent shop and ask them to inspect the car. Then take the list to the dealer to fix. If nothing can be found (which is a good thing) then 2,000 miles before the warranty expires take it to the dealer and tell them that your brakes feel squishy. (Unless you already had a brake job). Good luck.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
