The Best Drive Spots - SoCal
I figured it would be nice to start a thread on the best places to go for a sunny day drive. My best so far was on PCH from Santa Monica to Malibu onwards.....Do feel free to share your experiences (and provide directions in case any of us want to check it out)

Angeles Crest!!! Done it many times in my Audi (when I used to go to the meet and greets). And if you ever need to get from O.C. to Temecula area Ortega Highway is a hoot with no traffic of course.

Best Drives in So CAL.
I live very close to Ortega Hwy and while its a great drive, you have to deal with either the CHP or traffic most of the time. Driven w/ the 545i, 325xit and M3
Now the drive from Ventura to SLO on the 101 Hwy is a great drive especially after Gaviota State Park. Driven w/ the 545i, 325xit and M3 Hwy 38 to Big Bear is awesome and less traveled than Hwy 330. Driven w/ the 545i w/ 6sp manual in the winter and summer. Laurel & Topanga Canyon drive along w/ the Angeles Crest Hwy are still on my to do list |

hahaha. My parents beach house looks out on that island in the first pic. Watch out on the highway there. Its not a freeway, so they can use radar at any time. One speeding ticket, and that is when I was an intern for the DA. Didn't help. |
