I have wanted my calipers painted badly. Not red or flashy but rather black just because they look like shit after 3 years. I just don't have the time to do it.

Now, dealership is taking all 4 brakes apart on Monday to replace noisy caliper brackets (overnight job --- under warranty). I'm wondering if I might pay them to paint them while they have them apart (I provide paint of course).

Anyone have any experience coercing the dealership to do something like this?

You won't know for sure if you don't ask. I doubt they will though.

Your better off getting a G2 caliper painting kit and doing it yourself.

all they will do is put them on a wire wheel and spray paint them and probably charge you $200 for 20min of work. might as well do it yourself

I have a feeling you are correct. I would gladly DIY it, I just don't want to jack up my car all weekend to do this.
