slight whistle noise letting off gas
Okay, at high speed 60~80mph once I give a very light throttle and let go off the gas little bit(not completely, still pressing about 1/4), I hear this whistling/hissing nosie from the engine bay. I have never heard this before, I checked the engine bay nothing seems to loose. Recently I got my hpfp replaced, added P3Cars Vent boost gauge, and Quaife LSD installed...not sure if any of them caused this whistling/hissing noise.

Well, they say if you don't keep your butt so tight the whistling sound form the gas wont be as loud.

ye I can duplicate it. I'm starting to think that it might be coming from the boost gauge wires, I read somewhere in the instruction, that wires has to be not touching one another or else it will make some sort of a noise. or...intercooler piping could be loose...I will check on that once I get home.
I don't think it has to do with the Quaife LSD I just got installed. hmmmm |

this happened on my old 335 but hopefully its not the same problem. do you have a BOV installed? or did you play with that little nipple sticking out of the manifold? problem with mine was when i was installing the BOV i guess i cracked that nipple which is a vaccume line i think and caused that noise when i let off the gas. however, this was at any speed not just 60 - 80. good luck hopefully its not that nipple since you have to replace the whole manifold plastic to fix it.

If it was the wires from teh boost guage, it would be because the current in one wire makes enough electromagnetic force around that can induce a new current in any other wire close to it which would also introduce noise, but I don't know how much current is in those wires and aslo doubt this would be the cause.try keeping the wires seperated or insulated some how.
