How many KMs before I should bring in my car for first service??
I bought my car (335) brand new, how many KMs should it be before I take it in for the first service? I notice I get a "Service car" alert on the navigation screen when I turn on my car, then it disappears?

I have a similar issue.
Is your car now one year old? |

I heard the M3 requires a break in oil change at 2,000km. I did the same on my 325i just for peace of mind. I did it DIY, but it still costs money for the Castrol oil and filter.
For any brand new car I'd never let it go more than 10,000km for the first service. My thinking is that break in results in metal particles in the oil, so new oil and filter will reduce any unnecessary engine wear due to this. Last edited by John_01; 06-21-2010 at 10:14 PM.. Reason: typos |
