(warning: rhetorical griping ahead )

It really bugs me that none of the BMW bluetooth kits (that I've tried, at least) have a way to pass through voice dialing to the phone. The handsfree profile supports it, and plenty of other kits support the functionality, but BMW doesn't seem to care.

On the Motorola IHF1000 (which has its own phone book and voice dialing) you can hit the voice command key and say "phone voice tag" and the carkit sends the VR command to the phone and connects the microphone.

I plan on replacing my phone way more often than my car; I'm sure in 10 years the M-ASK voice functionality is going to seem positively quaint.
