need help with BT tool, JB3 or HPFP?...

I was just wondering if anyone can barrow me a BT tool so I can see what codes my car is throwing. My car went into limp mode after I took off from a green light. My HPFP has gone out before and it feels like it went out again but I have a JB3 installed and want to make sure its not throwing any tuner code before I take it into BMW. Terry from Burger said it was probably a misfire code, not sure what that means but he said I need a BT cable, but I don't want to spend that much for one. Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. I'm located in Brea and will bring the car anywhere, hopefully someone close can help! Thanks in advance, any advice is greatly appreciated!

Oh and my check engine light went on at the same time.
