55k changed spark plugs, rough idle gone

So after reading numerous threads about people running tunes, and changing their plugs with many less miles, I decided it was time. I've developed a bit of a rough idle/shake at cold start ups since installing a JB+ and hoped this issue was the root of the problem.

I ordered a set of stock replacements and went at it this evening. Everything went off without a hitch, and when I started the car I was treated to a nice smooth idle with no shaking or misfiring of any sort. Took her out for a spin and seems to be smoother throughout the rpm range so I'd say it was definitely worth it. The original plugs didn't LOOK too bad, but judging by the change in performance it was definitely a good maintenance item.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the old plugs for reference.

Haha yeah I think it's going to take a host of mods before that "SLOW" comes out of the sig after being compared to the Vette! I finished up and had to move some stuff around the house for the folks so I didn't end up leaving their place until after 10pm.

Those plugs have passed best-before-date since long. The sharp edges that are quite important for easy spark jump are totally eroded.

They actually look worse in the pics than they do in person but I agree with what you're saying. The tune has only been on the car for approximately 2,500 miles and to be honest, I really don't drive aggressively.....but who knows if it had a tune on it from a previous owner.
