Issues with my Procede. Need help!

I already tried contacting shiv and waiting for a reply from him. But, I'll post this in case someone know how to fix this sooner as my car is sitting in my garage.

On Sunday, I tried to upgrade the firmware on my Procede V4 to the autotuning version and the user software got stuck on "Erasing old firmware..." for over half an hour. So, I had to kill the update. Now my procede is hosed as it triggered all kind of lights when I tried to start the car. Most likely the Eprom is corrupted as I can't get my User software to connect to it at all. Anyone know how can I get my Eprom reloaded short of sending it back to Shiv? Please help!

OP-- replied to your email this morning. I wasn't in the office on Sunday.

Turn power off then back on. The PRocede should then be in boot mode. At that point you can do the FW update without connecting first.

Thanks, Shiv. Just got a call back from Robert. I'll try to reload the software again when I get home from work. If it does not work I'll send it back so you guys can help me load the software back.

No need to send it back. You should be able to load the firmware even if your bricked your Procede. I am sure Vishnu wil be able to walk you through it

I tried this already. When I select update firmware right after I power on the ignition, It tells me that I need to be online to update firmware. When I try to connect it says that it can't communicate to the comm port.

Sounds like your laptop is dropping comms during the firmware update process. The whole process should only take a minute or so with the 0-100% counter moving the entire time.
