I have an Xi and I am unstoppable in the snow. Ride and suspension isnt the same given the higher suspension for the snow clearing and such, but seeing as you live in jersey which is a winter city, id go xi.

my .02

Save your money and keep the 335i. A RWD BMW with a decent set of snow tires and a driver with average skills can go anywhere an XDrive car (on all season tires) can go...

The sport package on the xi does not change the suspension at all and power is going to be exactly the same going 335 to 335...

Not sure if that is entirely accurate....while the sport package on the xi is alot less money than the sport package of a non-xi, the popular belief is that there is some level of tuning done to a sport xi vs a non-sport xi. The sport xi however is not as well tuned as a sport non-xi.

That said, dont take the hit on the new xi if you already have a 335i. The deal will never be good enough. Invest in some dedicated winters for your rwd 335i.

Me....I have an xi AND Blizzaks which is unstoppable in snow.

BMW doesn't list the sport package xi err xdrive as having any change on the suspension, so I would assume it doesnt. Since it ould be touted as a "feature" I would ceritnly think they would list it if it was different.

In addition, RealOEM lists different struts for the sport package 335i's but only lists one type for the 335xi.

It doesnt. The xdrive system can only work with its stock regular suspension.
