Not my first time on the track and I have used Valet mode AND one of the Maps (~14psi) and the throttle inputs are harder to "feather". That being said it is better to get to your throttle input point and hold it versus the other method and slowly roll on the throttle due to the immediateness of power delivery when feathering in long, off-camber corners.

True...it is just easier for me NOT to feather it because it can upset your line through the corner.
Well, since your preference is that it's "better to get to your throttle input point and hold it versus the other method", I'd say it's not obvious to you. Other than a very long constant radius corner, the throttle is not a hold button; or moreover not an on-off switch. It's constantly varying along with all the other inputs.

Yes, it's probably easier for you not to feather (read: modulate) the throttle because you're still learning, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Yes, the throttle changes (not read: upsets) your line through the corners, that's part of driving.

In short, that pedal on the right is not an XBox controller button for gas, it's a variable input. Yes, with higher horsepower you have to learn finer control of that input. And every car has a different throttle curve, with some the power rolls on slower/smoother, others it comes on quickly. That's your job as the driver to adjust. Again, that's what your right foot is for.

Good for you for trying to get out on the track and learn, as I said that puts you ahead of 99% of the other drivers out there. No shame in asking the question, and good that you're trying to learn.

When asked if the Viper had any traction control, the head of the design team replied, "Yes, it's got 2, your left foor and your right foot."

My answer was simple, concise, clear, and correct. Sorry you didn't like it.

Sigh.....thanks for trying to "educate" me once again. If you go back to my original post you will see that I was commenting on how herky-jerky it is when you do "feather" the throttle(the corner the problem manifested itself on was a long constant radius corner now that I think about it). Depending on the vehicle and the pedal setup the sensitivity is/can be different, no? So with the current map I have been using when feathering in the corner the amount of boost/power is upsetting the cars handling in the corner (however slight...it is not a huge thing). Upsetting the cars handling from the line I want to take for clarification. Never said that I could not control it....I have just found that upon corner entry(the corner in question), if I am at the proper speed that I was faster without feathering the throttle and just holding my speed and engine RPM until I hit my corner apex and throttled out. All part of learning a track and what your individual car can do. I am sure you know by now (from looking at your sig....cool I did the Karting thing too in Europe) that each car is slightly to drastically different and needs to be handled different. Shift points changed based upon engine, transmission setup as do the lines on the track. If you sign up for a track day at RA or RR then you can Right Seat me and you will see what I mean (if that is the map I have loaded for that day of course).

Oh and BTW its not that I don't like your answer...but tone goes a long way too...and smart-aleck, holier-than-thou comments are a tone I take issue with.
