Can I use TPMS wheels on non-tpms car?

Dumb noob question I'm sure, but I have a 2007 328xi (build date 2/07) that I understand does not have TPMS, but rather the wheel speed sensor instead of tire pressure sensor. I may be buying a set of wheels/tires that has TPMS. I don't want to go through the add'l cost of removing TPMS. Can I just use the wheels with the TPMS w/o any issues? I understand that the tpms won't work on my car, but just didn't know if there were any issues with doing this. Thanks!

Correct. The sensors will simply be sending a signal to nowhere.
