Ok last night sitting it the car pressing the throttle pedal very slowly I did notice the "click", it was a very long way down the travel, almost right on the floor, so as per M FAST I'd say it was launch control and not kickdown.

Cheers Creepy. Please can you also check in full manual mode if it drops a gear when the accelerator is pressed past the click?

Not it doesn't, the kick down in auto is much higher (sooner) up the travel. and in manual it doesn't kickdown at all.

I think I am gonna have to take mine to the dealers or learn not to put my foot past the click when in manual mode.
