New Netbook - Procede connectivity issues
Seems like usb connectivity is cutting out.
I have the power settings on high performance, but it seems that the procede loses connectivity to the usb port while doing the firmware update. Sometimes it fails at different percentages of completion, but most times it will write the firmware 100% and then just say resetting ECU forever. Any hints? I turned off the USB selective suspend. Running an ASUS 1201N with Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit). I went back to my old laptop with the old user software (pre-autotune)band got the old firmware and map working (4-30-2010 - firmware 10). I was trying to use the new autotune software to go to the latest meth autotune firmware and map, but I can't get the firmware update to complete. I did succssfully install the radioshack drivers for the serial to usb cable on the new netbook. The laptop is connected to plugged in AC power the whole time. Puzzled! Thanks! Windows 7 home premium (32 bit)
The power managmenet setting look the same on both computers, so I'm wondering if there is something else on my new netbook that might be causing a conflict, diabling the port, or taking over the port? Something else I should look for? For example, I went into device manager, USB Controllers and made sure the box for allowing the computer to cut power to the USB Root Hubs was not checked. Hmmm. Asus has some software called Super Hybrid Engine. It manages power, clock, and bus speed. It was set on Auto. I just changed it to Super Performance Mode.
Also downloaded + installed the latest bios. Maybe that had something to do with it? http://event.asus.com/notebook/bamboo/external5.htm Last edited by scottp999; 07-03-2010 at 12:57 PM.. |
