E92 Coupe M-Sport...

G'day guys.

I have seen photos / photochops on the other forum pages of the E92 M-Sport kit, and they look sensational.

Does anyone know when it will be released here? I called five different BMW dealerships in Sydney - four said it would be around six months or more away, while the fifth said I could put a $2000 deposit down for an E92 and he would find out for me (!? ).

I would get an E92 now, but want the sport kit and am prepared to wait!

Thanks.

Hi, im in the same boat as you. i have been trying to find out when it will be released in Aus as well but no dealer knows. I will keep contact with a couple of dealers until they can find out for us. I hope it won't take six months that would absolutley suck.

If you want it just buy the car now and have it retro fitted later, no big deal.

Try ringing BMW Aust directly

Have you tried ringing BMW Aust directly. When I had an A4 I rang Audi directly and they were very helpful with a lot of technical questions that the dealer couldn't answer.
I couldn't wait for the M-sport pack either, so plan on fitting the aerokit front lip, and maybe the M-kit rear, or leave the rear stock when my car arrives in May.
I also don't like the anthracite headlining, or shadowline trim, or M wheels, so I would have only bought the pack for the body kit really (with BMW pricing, probably cheaper as a pack than bodykit alone I bet).

Yeah it is cheaper as a pack (when factory ordering), i tried to order a m-kit after i bought my x3 and they said they would charge 4500 dollars and they added another cost of $2500 for spray painting them.
Thats why im waiting to order the m-kit with a factory order so i don't have to pay a BS $2500 for spraying them. (patience is my virtue). I know you said you couldn't wait for the m-kit but the dealership is going to rip you off with ordering the lip or whatever part you want and also add the spraying cost.

An alternative is to import a bodykit from E92kits.com and they are negotiating spray painting them pre-delivery. It's not exactly the M-sports kit but still looks pretty good.

I haven't priced the aerokit lip yet here, but US pricing's about $380. I'll get my own bodyshop to do the painting and install. The e92kits M rear apron's about US$600, and they're getting back to me with shipping costs.
Anyway, want to own my car for a while first, and see what cosmetic changes will have best look/price compromise.

I reckon the rear looks much better than the official M sports kit for E92. Much more "3-D", like the E90 M rear. Not keen on the front or the sides though.
Another piece I'm looking at is the Hamann rear diffusor, which is an add-on piece to the OEM bumper. Euroline in Melbourne?Sydney? will let me know the price when available.

Hi guys - thanks for the feedback.

I will wait another month or so and see what info I can get... after that, I may have to make some decisions as I don't want to wait 6-9 months!!

I'm waiting as well. If it's already available in some countries. It won't be too long before we get it.

It is only add on pack, I can't see why it would take so long.

G'Day guys.

An update - I called BMW Headquarters in Melbourne, and was informed by one of their sales specialists that they don't know when the M-Sport will be released here in Oz. In fact, it could be first quarter next year!

It wasn't a quick call - the first person I was directed to did some quick checks on his BMW Intranet and couldn't find the info, and then he passed me on to his supervisor, who gave me the update.

I guess I will consider ordering an 325i E92 Coupe with the Aero kit, or an E90 325i with M-Sport. I'll then look to change my car in late 2008. Will think it over though, as the M3 concept looked so awesome!

I was told by a rep at the Melbourne show it will arrive around September.
