i believe the launch on M3s and e9x in general would be quite tricky....

so with an auto box....

which set up would give u the fastest run in dry weather?

1 DTC/DSC fully on and DS Mode
2 DTC OFF / DSC ON/ DS mode
3 DTC OFF/ DSC OFF ( on ur own mode, crazy bitch mode) / DS mode

or the above options but using M mode for the gearbox?

and I have a question for M3 owners, what is the M dynamics mode?....does it mean that the DSC is fully off? i.e allowing maximum wheelspin? or is it just DTC off but DSC on , and they just call it M mode for marketing and show?

Optimal launch in an SMG II E46 M3 was always quite easy with launch control - if a bit brutal - assume its the same push buttons/pedal flat to floor/computer works out revs/release gearknob on cue affair in an E9x with DCT?

Launch control is still pretty brutal in an E9x M3 but is great fun and makes for powerful starts. Throttle still needs controlled though, else it just leaves two long black tyre marks and a cloud of smoke but once the car is going just keep the pedal completely floored and use the shift lights & rev counter to shift at about 8000-8400rpm.
