Is this normal?

Cranked the car up and it said below min oil add oil immediately. Let it warm up at idle for 5-10 min no change. Turned off then back on with no msg, but showed +1 oil (oil needed) and then after 5-6 miles of driving it showed normal range.
That all being said if I need to add oil what do I add? CPO' car that I've had 1000 miles 2 months.

take it to the dealer and they'll top you off with a quart of oil. Same thing happened to me when i first got my car.

mine is wierd too. id said +1 qt so i added half a qt. drove around a couple days it the oil was about 70% between min and max. after a week it was low and said to add another qt..added the rest of the qt and now its stayed between min and max for the pass month. wierd. wish i had a dipstick...

i used mobil1 0w40 btw
