Just upgraded from PROcede v3 to v4
I'm not up to date on the current tuner war shizzle or whether there is even still a "war" going on. I just wanted to chip in on my experience upgrading from v3 to v4. v4 may be old news to most but it's new to me!
I'm not a great driver. I don't know anything about tunes and very little about my car. I simply listen to two of my close e90post friends and they tell me what to do with my car cosmetically and otherwise. However, I do know how to floor my car on the freeway, and that's reason enough for me to enjoy a tune. When they told me to upgrade from JB2H to Procede RevII in 2009, I did it. It lacked the initial thrill of the JB2H but the speedometer did not lie as I began flying past cars without feeling a thing on the freeway. Very dangerous if absent-minded. When they told me to upgrade to to v4 a few weeks ago, I complied. So one of my buddies ("INSTALLER") did his thing and told me to do some runs to get the auto-tune working. INSTALLER immediately told me I could toss my PROcede remote in the trunk and that I wouldn't be needing it anymore since it was "old school" and now everything is operated from the dash. Pretty snazzy. As I rode with INSTALLER it was pretty cool watching the software graph my "aggression" level. Because I am not a great driver, I asked my other buddy ("CONSULTANT") to take over the wheel and do some runs since he has had solid track experience. I am very glad CONSULTANT took over because my car is now feeling GREAT. On the V3, I would have to switch to manual mode to feel the thrust of the vehicle. No more. DS is now good enough for me...which is saying A LOT. My car is seriously quick now. Thanks CONSULTANT and INSTALLER. My car looks and feels great thanks to all your help. And I guess shiv should get some thanks too. I guess. Last edited by XiaoDeeDeee; 07-12-2010 at 08:45 PM.. |
