Picking up Car - Finally

Car arrived at the dealer today. Picking up next Wednesday. I have declined all of the options that they are trying to force upon me, i.e. boomerang, tint, etc., however, I'm not sure about the Road Hazzard Protection. Given the expense of replacing the run flats, has anyone opted for this coverage? Is it worth it?

I took it. It's good if your planing on keeping your oem wheels. I live in a new sub division and it is still under construction so I'm planing on getting a sh*t load of flats. My buddy got 5 last year alone and he lives on the street over. The other opiton they offered me is another company that will cover any wheel you put on your car, winter, summer, aftermarket. Where as the BMW protection will not cover you winter set up unless you buy oem. I'm probably going with the second option since I'm going aftermarket, I just have to call the company and see which shops they deal with cause I don't want to go through the whole pay now and wait 10 mths to get refunded. Where bmw you just call, show up and voila no payments , refunds etc.. Easy.

Ask them about the other option.
The company is called : Platinum tire and rim protection inc.
Phone number is 1-800-381-2580.
with the platinum one the tires aren't pro-rated and is transferable.
hope this helps abit

How much does the warranty cost?

I think it's like $600-$700, for either one. I would have to check my bill. Well worth it in my eyes.Especially if it isn't prorated.

I also have that.. our OEM tires cost way too much... the insurance is worth it. unless you are gonna swap w/ aftermarket wheels....

Hmm, I had the tire and rim warranty for my mini and that cost about $360. There's a slow leak in one of my Dunlop run-flats so it'll be interesting to see if that can be replaced.

I'll certainly push for it once I get the Dunlops back on. I'm currently running on Semperit 195/60/15s for the winter. My car's been pretty much unstoppable.

I just wonder if the company will make excuses not to reimburse me for any damage.
