How much have you guys paid at local BMW dealers? I don't want to void my warranty. Peabody quotes me $253

$250 from the dealer seems reasonable. No doubt you can get it done for cheaper elsewhere, but that doesn't seem bad for a dealer.

I paid $60.00 to my local muffler shop and then went back the next day to get the tips brought in closer to the bumper as they stuck out way too far. That was another $30.00. So in the end from me was $90.00 but from a muffler shop not a BMW dealer. They can try and void warranty all they want but it is their product.

Try Lou's Custom Exhaust - they seem to be very good and reasonably priced and there are a couple around here. I think there's one in N. Reading and one in Peabody on Rt. 1.

I'd go to Unique Custom Exhaust in Burlington/Billerica and tell Anthony that Dave with the white 335i sent you. I forgot his pricing, but from what I remember its good and the welds he does are amazing.

I went to see Anthony at Unique Custom Exhaust (in Stoneham now). I just went ahead and had him weld the mufflers, and replace the tips with 4" Magnaflows, looks much nicer than the tin cans that come with the Performance exhaust, and they stick out way too much.

I believe mods done from the axle to the rear end can not void warranty...correct me if I'm wrong

Let us know if you notice any sound difference. I didn't think tips would change sound at all but OP of this thread thinks it does

edit: Never mind. You're changing the tips before the exhaust is on your car. haha..

Where did you get the magnaflows tips? Can you post pics?
