New Member Intro and Quick Questions

Just wanted to say hello. Long-time reader, but now that I'm serious about an E90, it's time to start asking questions.

I'm in the market soon for a 328xi when my Mini's lease is up.

Just a couple of short questions:

A) Does BMW Financial Services provide a loyalty bonus as a rentention plan for MINI/BMW lessees or owners? Infiniti does .25% I think any percentage helps.

B) When is the usual cut-off date to order that model year's car? For example with my Mini, I ordered in May '05, got it in July '05 and it was still a 2005.

My lease is up October 2008, but I want to take advantage of any low lease rates for the 2008 MY before the '09s hit. If I ordered July 2008, would that squeeze in? Or would I need to do earlier, say May again? I just don't want the car to sit in the dealer's lot for an extended time, nor can I take delivery before my lease's end due to a lack of driveway space. Perhaps I can break out of my Mini's lease early?

I have an overnight test drive coming up (in a 323), and it'll be a great chance to experience the handling dynamics.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Yes, you will get an additional 0.5% off the lease rate if you are a previous BMWFS customer. I'm not sure if BMWFS and MINIFS are the the same company and if the loyalty discount transfers over.

Hmm, I looked up the corporate offices for Mini and BMW Financial Services, and they work out of the same building.

I'll try calling BMW since it's the car I'm looking at.

Thanks everyone.
