A Riddle
I have asking a famous tire shop today and the owner told me Rays's Wheel - G2 (18" x 8.5J and 9.5J) couldn't run with 235 front and 265 rear, he claimed that this will cause the error light on and harmful to the car too. Well, I called up Advan shop and asking the same question, the shopper told me it is impossible, just the RE-11 is not available in size of 235 x 18", mean 235 and 265 are okay for E92 335i, who is right?

re11 is available in size of 235/40/18
and if your talking about my shop, i never say it will cause error light on, and the owner said you could use 235 and 265 too, its your choice, he just said bmw said 225 is a better choice as tire size for e92, which is shown at the door or something! but i would agree 235 / 40 / 18 will fit 8.5 better |

What is the diameter difference of 225 40 18 and 235 40 18 comparing with stock 225 45 17?
I think 225 40 18 should be closer to the suggested size according to http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Option...r=Base%20Model 235 40 18 should still be fine, but it would affect the handling and the cluster as the diameter is larger than stock size. |
