This is crazy between the HPFP and now the injectors looks like this might be an expensive car to maintain after the warranty runs out. I know the HPFP is warranted for 10 years now, but the injectors and coil packs aren't going to be cheap fix if they do go out.

Coils are pretty cheap and easy to replace, not sure about the injectors though.

Coils are about $70.00 a pop, injectors are close to $400.00 a piece if i recall correctly. Needing to replace all 6 would put quite the dent in one's wallet.

Great stuff!!!
How many problems are we going to have with our 335s? I am holding my breath...My 09 model is doing fine with no hassles so far but it has only done 6 000km and I am just waiting for something to happen...

Well, up till now, we gotta at least expect the HPFP to go out, and now possible the injectors?!

But both are not tune related. So that's a good thing.......I've heard stock cars getting bad injectors as well.

Do you have a MT or DCT in your 09 335?

The coil packs aren't that expensive from Tischer. Something like $50. Plus the liklihood of of all the coil packs, spark plugs, and every injector going all at the same time is about as likely as having our cars land on Mars. LOL

With the performance and mod aspect, it is pay to play and if you have to replace a coil pack or some spark plugs, it is well worth it IMO...the injectors are much more to be reckoned with, nowhere near as cheap or easy as the coil packs or plugs. All in all, I love my car as so many of us do, but I do feel your pain and frustartions with this, but I would rather have these issues and driving my car as opposed to a new Chevy Impala or equivalent. (no offense to people who drive those, just not my style)

AFAIK, warranty SHOULD cover the coils, injectors, spark plugs, etc......Unless your SA/dealership are @sses about modded cars........But then again, you can always return your obvious engine mods back to stock and then take it in.......

An injector for non-turbo = $97.94

Turbo = $226.41

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

Still very expensive....but at least not $400.00 a piece

Ya but they don't ship international orders anymore (that means Canada too).

Bet you they are much more expensive up here.

New version of injectors? Or maybe they are selling an old stock at low price?

BMW replace 6 injectors under warranty. 1 went bad in the first week, having misfires in 2 more injectors now. I am tired of going to the dealer and they are tired of working on my car. They had to pay for 1 replacement and override BMWNA to do it. BMW insists that they don't install faulty equipment and there is no way my injectors are malfuctioning. Even when the foreman moves the injector himself and the code follows it....BMW says its not their injectors.

My foreman has had the turbos replaced, injectors and plugs.... he is afraid that BMW is going to inspect the car and bust his ass because of the mods. I can switch it all back but I don't want to put the old DP's back on.... anything but that!

In case the fault follows the location of specific injectors, they have failed. I cant see how BMW can argue against this. Perhaps there is a communication problem between your shop and BMW and you may have better luck at another shop with more guts against BMW? Tell the shop that it is their job to get the parts they have found to be faulty, injectors in this case.
