mine start just fine, just the when it's idling on cold start, the engine misfires (the rpm jumps a lot)... you think i could be the gas? the car is in the shop now, hopefully they can fix it.

Wow, I thought I had it bad. At 550 miles my car started misfiring and going into limp mode. They replaced one injector and the car has been great since. Good luck with this. Check your state's lemon law policy.

Seriously considering of getting rid of the car...
1. Take it in to the dealer
2. Get a loaner if needed
3. Keep having the dealer attempt to fix and document
4. Read IA lemon law. Keep your mouth shut about it until your ready to use it with all the ammo. Don't threaten with it or the dealer may try to hide info.

Good luck, I hope it all works out. It's a great car to enjoy.

False. If so, that means no one in California will be able to own a 335i since our highest octane is 91.

I have the same problem, rough cold start but I thought it was the sec air activating.. They replaced all 6 injectors, eng light on again shop time again. Its probably a software flash, I've had the same problems with VW 2.0 FSI..

My friend's 335 has the same problem! Dealership say: 335 has a software problem with the tank under 1/4 full! If the tank is under 1/4 the engine might missfire. BMW is currently working on a new software to solve the problem. So for now 335 owners has to keep the tank over 1/4 full.

new fuel pump, injectors and plugs...... missing on acceleration under heavy load. BMW replaced 1 of the 6 new ones against BMWNA recommendation.... now two more of the cylinders are missing. Dealer told me since they reached into their pocket to replace one of the 6 new injectors that I shouldn't come back there anymore. They have replaced 2 turbos also... they have done a lot for me but they can't make the misfires go away for more that 30 days at a time. I have been hearing about bad flashes but why would a mis move and follow a particular injector? I have read how some injectors may have been mis-labeled and/or malfunctioning.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
