X-pipe and sound profile

My 335i Coupe has a mean rattle that comes and goes when I'm standing still. I traced the source to contact between the factory resonator and my hotchkis chassis brace. I knew there would be a rattle when I installed it and I thought I could deal with it after the first few hundred miles but I've had it. Right now my exhaust setup is stock DP to straight pipes that are clamped to the factory H-pipe/resonator/mini-muffler which all ends in a bastuck exhaust.

If I have a muffler shop cut out that stock H-pipe and replace it with something like this (http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2672A0A0.aspx) how much should my current audio profile change? Deeper, lighter, louder?
