Question about e93 323i LCI

1) What is the standard stereo? is it HiFi professional or business? How many speakers?

2) i heard idrive is standard--does navigation actually work in hong kong?

3) what is the cost of ipod and bluetooth?

4) what is the cost of logic 7 stereo?

for Q2,

I think the GPS is quite useful for me as I was new to HK road. I would say its a bit more accurate with bigger display comparing those external ones you get from the street. Since its intergrated into the i-drive, I actually think its a quite good system to have. However I wouldnt want to pay 52k for it if it didnt come with the car.

the new gps has gyroscope built-in so its not just a bit accurate. it works even in the tunnel and basement carpark. the only issue that i found is Victoria Harbour displayed as something like "Wai Dor Lei Ah Kong"! sigh! so better use chinese display.......

Hi ct087087,

Did you upgrade the GPS version of your Professional Navigation system? As I heard from BMWHK service department, they need to charge $3k for only upgrading the system by inserting the DVD to the system.

i bought my car in last year end. the gps came with the code v1.0 which was without the new tunnel (to SHatin) although it had opened at that time. I believe the upgrade (actually it's update, right?) is as easy as just loading in the new set of data. If you do have the software/DVD, you can definitely do it on your own. unfortunately, i don't have it, do you?

BTW, i still don't figure out how to search a street by inputting the city->district->street. The problem is some street names showed up for selection but you can't enter the street name
The workaround: search the destination on iphone then use the "free view" to set the destination point on idrive

I don't have the DVD as I asked BMWHK service last week, they need to implement both update and upgrade the Navigation System. I will keep you informed for the status.

For searching the destination, I need to identify the respective district and then input the street/road names and intersections. One important issue, I need to park my car before I search the destination.

That;s what i expect but there isn't any way to input the street name. after i input the district, it just lists out some of streets in that district for selection. In fact, I can't find a way to "input" the street name.

Is the iDrive standard equipment on any of the LCI models? Asking because someone said it was, but the dealer said its a 52k option.
