hey guys! I am gonna be getting a trunk lip for my e92! Is it better to just get the OEM lip for over $200 or just get a non genuine for $80?

They looks exactly the same, a trunk lip is something where perfect fitting isn't noticeable b/c there are no gaps. I got a rep one and it looks great.

Replicas are great for the price you pay, fitment is generally the same as OEM

whered you find your replica trunk lid and how long have you had it for? Any problems?

+1, you're fine with replica ones. You can slightly bend them to fit on your trunk flush for best fitment.

I just got mine from the FS section, someone was selling a CF one. I used the red 3M tape to put it on and it looks/fits great. No problems at all.

non genuine sounds so demeaning... but Replica sounds legit!

I bought a replica lip here pre sprayed and it was an identical shape.

They supplied a spoiler glue, but you can buy the genuine and specially shaped and pre-cut 3M fixing tape for the original lip from the BMW dealer, so I ordered that and used the tape instead, it comes in three pieces - two shaped ends and the main length.

Once fitted you can't see any difference from original.
