Discount levels

Guys (& girls), I'm just talking to my dealer about trading in my near 3 year old for a new replacement. Initial offer is £1k below book and zero discount (we call them stealers for a reason it seems).

Any indications of what level of discounts are available in these days on an E90?

Likely to be a 320D Business Edi with a couple of extras.

Buy nearly new, there are loads of registered cars with little miles but big savings.

Give Anneka a shout. She'll put you on to someone who just sorted me out with a nice price on an X5.

This is a good idea . Do you want to see what we can do for you? I'm based at Sytner Chigwell and will do you a great deal from here, but I work divisionally and will be happy to get someone to look after you from any Sytner dealer.

Price up a car on an online broker site like this one:

http://www.broker4cars.co.uk/

You should be looking for around 12% discount on the list price. With regard to your trade in, why would you accept anything less than book value?

Just something to bear in mind. If there is a long lead time to your car, VAT goes up next year by 2.5%.

I don't know how he did it but my colleague got 18% of a 330d Coupe MSport last autumn and a bl**dy good trade in for his 4 year old 320d Saloon (£13k)

I think that you just have to play hardball.

I used Coast2Cost for my 320D a few months ago. Very good deal, about 5k of list price. Sorted finance as well. All in all I was very happy.

thanks
Dan

Get an online broker quote, like NFS says, should be at least 12% off, take that to the dealers and they'll beat it of they want the sale.

Give Anneka a shout too - nothing to lose.....
