Incorrect. A RFT is just like any other tire with the exception that a regular tire disintegrates rather visibly when driven flat. The only "downside" of the RFT is that there are no obvious visual indicators if a RFT was driven while deflated.

Well, a very real and practical downside is that they DON'T GIVE YOU A SPARE so you are FORCED to drive the dang thing when it's flat!
