HPFP going out-Do you guys leave the codes in so BMW will know its the hpfp???
Hey guys- SO I just got my new turbos put on under warranty and got my mods back on. Anyways now the fuel pump is gone. I keep getting long cranks and when I put it on a map other then stock the car gets limp modes and SES lights. I erase the codes and put it back in stock map and it will do long cranks but no lights so my question is should I leave the codes and take off the tune or what? I want to get the hpfp replaced but don't want them to say nothing is wrong but long cranks? What do you guys do. Obviously I would take the tune off but don't know to leave the codes or not. I have always erased them before taking the car in so I am a bit scared in case they can tell I had a tune.

I would leave the codes there if they are all relating to the hpfp. You have a much better chance of them replacing the pump with codes than without.
Mine started to have random long cranks but no codes and all they did was update my software.

They wont replace it without the codes. I would erase all the codes, take the tune out, drive till the hpfp codes come back, then take it in. Thats what I did, otherwise you risk codes that may be tune related..

Whats fraud? The turbo/wastegate rattle and the hpfp are both known problems that have nothing to do with the tune-if you dont know what your talking about please dont comment.

I would recommend taking the tune and mods off clear codes, driving around untill you get the SES or something again then it's time to check her in.

I pick my car back up tomorrow after the same issue. I had the same codes and all they would do is a upgraded software until that proves not to work. I'll drive it around for a week or so before I put my mods back on just to make sure. Good luck!
