in the market for E90 328xi

Hi all,
New to the forum and in the market for a 328xi sedan...Was wondering if people could share their experiences with respect to (1) specific Toronto dealers and (2) 328i/xi MSRP discounts (335 is a whole different ball game with respect to discounts)
Tried searching, but wasn't able to find recent threads on this topic....

Help is much appreciated!!

Thanks

Not sure what sort of discounts are available these days but I'd definitely recommend Mark at Parkview BMW, if you need his contact info PM and I'll send it over. His is a great guy, very staight forward and was excellent to deal with. I found that overall BMW dealers in the GTA are very tight with discounting if it is your first BMW... but I managed to get about 4% or so off MSRP when I bought my 325i last year (March).

Do you know if that means MINI owners as well? I just sent an e-mail to BMW FInancial Services to see if I can get out of my contract several months early in order to step into a 328xi.

Hopefully they can give me a definite answer as opposed to some corporate jargon.

Parkview is good - only complaint from me was that my original CA left the company and no one thought to contact me.... They installed the iPopd adaptor with no problems and many others have reported installation issues so I think they're fairly competent.

Discounts will vary depending on demand, timing, etc. and the 3 series is in high demand. The nice thing about Toronto is that it is not too hard to shop around. Do it in person rather than by phone and make sure to get a discount percentage on the finished price, not before options. Also, be prepared to wait at least a couple of months for delivery....

boomer3,

I'm also in the market for a 328xi, although I wasn't sure whether I should buy this year or wait until the 2008. Does anyone know what changes are expected to the e90 for next year?

I was planning to buy a report at carcostcanada, where I'm assuming I'll get invoice prices for both car and options packages, and then I'd phone up a couple of dealerships and offer a fixed percentage over and above that. I am planning to test drive locally and offer my business to the local dealership (London), but I'm not going to be taken to the cleaners. Once I've test-driven the car, the dealership doesn't need to do that much work and I'm curious to know how much over invoice is reasonable....

Maybe if we buy two we can get a volume discount?

Bought mine from Edmond at Parkview. No BS from him.

Though at that time, the 328xi just came out (supposely they sold out of their 325xi stock), so not much to work with. We did get an ok deal with our trade-in however.
